🚀 Polytech-Tangshan Center Opens: A New Chapter in Russia-China Educational Ties
On May 13, 2025, the long-awaited Polytech-Tangshan Preparatory Center was officially opened in Tangshan, China, with a delegation from Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) in attendance.
🔹 The project, first agreed upon in March 2022, finally became a reality after a three-year delay due to the pandemic. Despite the challenges, the center has already proven its success—graduates from Tangshan are now studying at SPbPU!
🔹 The opening ceremony was held at Yongping Secondary School, with speeches from key partners:
✔️ Zhang Guofu (Head of Tangshan Oriental Education Corporation),
✔️ Dmitry Rogozin (CEO of Friendship Bridge Company),
✔️ Pavel Nedelko (Assistant Vice-Rector of SPbPU).
🎯 Beyond formal events, the delegation engaged with future applicants and presented SPbPU’s academic programs. A quiz about SPbPU and St. Petersburg was a hit—gifted students won university souvenirs!
