The Western Sahara 2025 Action Weeks are underway!

Here is the current programme with over 25 events in 9 cities and online.

The motto of the Action Weeks is ‘50 years of occupation - 50 years of resistance’.

Western Sahara is a former Spanish colony that never gained independence.

At the end of October/beginning of November 50 years ago, it was occupied by the Moroccan government.

Since then, Sahrawis have been hoping and fighting for their independence in various ways: non-violently, diplomatically, militarily, politically, legally, through activism, internationally...

With the action weeks, we will:

- Spread knowledge about the Sahrawis' struggle for independence
- Remember the historical injustice of 50 years ago
- network and
- demand an end to the Moroccan occupation!

We look forward to seeing you at one of the more than 25 events.

#b0111 #militarisation

The government is calling for society to be prepared for war.

Our healthcare system is to be prepared for war in the spirit of ‘civil-military cooperation’.

Urgently needed resources that are lacking in the healthcare and socio-ecological sectors are being channelled into the development of military structures.

What exactly does this mean for healthcare and those who work in it? How can we fight back?

We would like to discuss this with our speakers and with you.

Racism kills at the Euro-African borders: From awareness to action

Exhibition and discussion

We look forward to seeing many of you on 1 November.

This event is organised in collaboration with  @eyfa_berlin

About our event:

Anti-Black racism in North Africa is deeply rooted in the history of slavery, colonialism and nation-building, yet it is largely ignored or denied in public debate.

This denial persists despite increasing violence against Black populations in countries such as Morocco, Tunisia and Libya.

From state-sponsored anti-Black measures and the militarisation of borders to everyday racist violence and social exclusion, Black North Africans, Black migrants and refugees in the region face multi-layered oppression that manifests itself at the intersection of skin colour, nationality, gender and class.

Today, these realities are exacerbated by the externalisation of the European border regime.

North African states are not only accomplices, but active agents of racially motivated migration control.

This has led to violent pushbacks, arbitrary detentions and all manner of human rights violations, disproportionately affecting Black people on the move and Black residents without state protection.
