The executors of the October 2022 “Shavei Shomron” checkpoint operation, which killed a zionist officer, Lions' Den members Osama Al-Taweel (Media 1-4) and Kamal Hani Jouri (Media 5-7) have been officially given life sentences in occupation prisons after their abduction and wounding in February 2023.

Osama was given 99 years (life sentence), plus an additional 30 years and a fine of 750,000 shekels, while Kamal was given a life sentence with an additional 28 years.

Kamal was reported as being subjected to severe medical negligence at the hands of the occupation. Both resistance fighters’ familial homes were demolished in June of 2023.
