Ukrainian-Russian war. Day 1339:
Situation on Lyman & Siversk front: Russian army captured the trench systems in the forest east of Lyman and managed to reach the first dachas from this axis, initiating the third battle for this town. Meanwhile, for the past five days, Russian forces have continued to advance east of Yampil until reaching the Donets River and the Droniv railway bridge. This advance was carried out in coordination with Russian troops from the suburb of Rudnik. That suburb was completely taken over at the end of the second week of October, and since then Russian forces have taken control of multiple positions to the south and west to enter neighboring Dronivka, which has been taken over halfway.

Situation on Konstantinovskaya front: Russian DRG's expanded the operations inside Kostiantynivka city reaching Vokzalna street inside Stare Selyshche district.

Ukrainian-Russian war. Day 1339:
Situation on Mirnograd & Pokrovsk fronts: Russian army took complete control of the town of Rodynske, positioning itself just over two kilometers from the main Ukrainian supply (and retreat) route to Pokrovsk & Myrnohrad (Light brown line). It is in this last city that Ukrainian army's retreat is becoming most noticeable: Russian forces have managed to take control of most of mine 5/6 in the southern part. Meanwhile, from the north, Russian troops have managed to take complete control of the Kapitalna Mine and the rest of the ventilation shafts over the last two days, gaining access to the first streets in the north of the Novator microdistrict and district 8.

The clashes between Syrian and foreign terrorists in recent days signal the beginning of a trend that will become increasingly continuous and aggravating for the country's internal conflict. Jolani's visits to France and Russia this year, in search of support and legitimacy from the “international community,” required a commitment from the new authorities to external actors. Foreign terrorists in Syria (who at one point accounted for nearly 40% of the opposition forces) remain a concern for their countries of origin. Eliminating or subduing foreign militants is a requirement that Damascus will have to deal with in the coming months, which will be beneficial for achieving stability and legitimacy.
However, the enormous weight of these foreign terrorists within the Syrian Transition Forces could be counterproductive and pose a mortal risk to the consolidation of the new Syrian government. We must remember that the STG continues to maintain the de facto structure of the previous opposition groups, which act with great independence despite their “submission” to the Ministry of Defense and Ministry of the Interior and their integration into the Syrian military structure in brigades and divisions (many of these groups simply changed their name to that of a brigade).
