شهید فتحی شقاقی که همراه با دو دانشجوی دیگر در اواخر دهه‌ی ۱۹۸۰ جنبش جهاد اسلامی فلسطین را تأسیس کرد، در این ویدئو چنان از امام خمینی سخن می‌گوید که گویی امام در فلسطین انقلاب کرده است نه در ایران. شقاقی از صرف طرح اسلامی فراتر می‌رود و آن چنانکه در کتاب «امام خمینی، تنها گزینه» توضیح می‌دهد، فقط راه و روش امام را طریقی برای مبارزه با دشمنان جهان اسلام می‌داند.
فتحی شقاقی، دبیر کل وقت جهاد اسلامی فلسطین، در سال ۱۹۹۵ توسط موساد به شهادت رسید و عمر او کفاف نداد تا دلاوری‌های این روزهای همرزمان‌ش در سرایا القدس و کتائب عزالدین قسام را ببیند. امروز ۵ آبان سالروز شهادت اوست.
