Принцип работы акустический датчики считывают звуковую волну от выстрела и определяют местонахождение источника - дальность и азимут (то есть угол между севером и непосредственно снайпером).

Система устанавливается на БТР или АГС, из которых уже можно обработать по цели. Хороший и грамотный аппарат, который я видел за 15 лет службы два раза: в институте и в военном журнале 😎

Видимо, для передовой решили оставить другой метод - поиск снайпера с помощью приманки
