Отец Иоанн Кронштадский — один из самых известных и любимых русских святых, жил в 19 – начале 20 века.
Отец Иоанн каждый день, когда это только было возможно, совершал Литургию и причащался Святых Таин. Помимо большого внимания к духовной жизни и молитве, святой имел особенное попечение о бедных и нуждающихся. Это был истинно праведник, который служению Богу и людям отдавал все свои силы и время.
Отец Иоанн оставил после себя подробные дневники, часть из них была издана ещё при жизни святого под названием «Моя жизнь во Христе». Он стал наставником многих праведников и святых 20 века.
8 июня 1990 года праведный Иоанн был прославлен Поместным собором под председательством Святейшего Патриарха Алексия Второго. 14 июня в Иоанновском монастыре Санкт-Петербурга состоялся чин канонизации Кронштадтского пастыря.
