I woke up because of a siren outside. It was 2 am. The loud sound was filling my tiny room and the phone was bursting in English “It’s an air alert. Find shelter”. I started putting on clothes and shaking at the same time. I put on shorts and stayed in my sleeping tshirt. I was looking for my passport, purse and a hair clip. I forgot that the plastic card key from the room is in the section that turns on the electricity and was looking for it too. I grabbed some light piece of cloth thinking that was my cotton sweater.
I opened my door, there was no one. I walked down. Some man was sleeping on the couch. I went to the reception. The man woke up and spoke to me but I couldn’t understand. By his information I figured I should not be worried. The woman came from the office and said everything is fine. I started looking at the “sweater” in my hands that turned out to be a towel. I laughed nervously, said “this was so scary” and took an elevator back to my room.
I wanted to cry. I was still shaking. I was so tired from all the worries of coming here and now I couldn’t hold it anymore. During those minutes when I was collecting things I was thinking “in what clothes are you ready to be outside on the streets shleterless? What items do you need to have in the middle of chaos?” I remembered all tips and training for earthquake alerts and hated myself for looking for that stupid hair pin. If things were real I would be dead already. Discovering a towel in my hands made feel ridiculous. Such a Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy move. I wanted to laugh and cry at the same time. How one can live in such conditions? Making these “vital” decisions in the middle of the night?

Founder Pavel Durov says tech is meant to set you free The fake Zelenskiy account reached 20,000 followers on Telegram before it was shut down, a remedial action that experts say is all too rare. Since its launch in 2013, Telegram has grown from a simple messaging app to a broadcast network. Its user base isn’t as vast as WhatsApp’s, and its broadcast platform is a fraction the size of Twitter, but it’s nonetheless showing its use. While Telegram has been embroiled in controversy for much of its life, it has become a vital source of communication during the invasion of Ukraine. But, if all of this is new to you, let us explain, dear friends, what on Earth a Telegram is meant to be, and why you should, or should not, need to care. Soloviev also promoted the channel in a post he shared on his own Telegram, which has 580,000 followers. The post recommended his viewers subscribe to "War on Fakes" in a time of fake news. Apparently upbeat developments in Russia's discussions with Ukraine helped at least temporarily send investors back into risk assets. Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko that there were "certain positive developments" occurring in the talks with Ukraine, according to a transcript of their meeting. Putin added that discussions were happening "almost on a daily basis."
