انتشار ویدئوها و تصاویر عروسی پرزرقوبرق دختر علی شمخانی ، از چهرههای بلندپایه نظام و مشاور علی خامنهای، موجی از خشم و انتقاد در شبکههای اجتماعی به راه انداخته است.
کاربران در واکنش، تصاویری از دختران و زنانی را منتشر کردهاند که در خیابانها بهدلیل پوشش یا حتی چند تار مو بیرونمانده، با خشونت گشت ارشاد و پلیس امنیت روبهرو شدهاند.
یکی از کاربران با انتشار یکی از این تصاویر نوشته:
«دخترای عادی ایران که به دست جمهوری اسلامی در ایران اشغالی کشته شدن VC دختر شمخانی که تو ناز و نعمت تو ایران جشن میلیاردی گرفته»
کاربر دیگری با اشاره به کشته شدن حنانه کیا که چند روز پیش از جشن عروسیاش، در ۳۰ شهریور ۱۴۰۱ به دست نیروهای جمهوری اسلامی کشته شد، نوشته:
«یه تکه از فیلم عروسی دختر شمخانی رو دیدم و یک ساعت برای حنانه کیا اشک ریختم.»
