Continuing on with our studies of ceramics, we initially wanted to take you to the French town of Vallauris in Côte d'Azur, but then decided that Vallauris could wait and we’d rather stay in the North of Europe and enjoy the works of Taisto Kaasinen, an outstanding Finnish ceramist.
Kaasinen is famous for the works he produced for Upsala-Ekeby, Sweden, and Arabia, Finland. By the way, the latter also has Swedish roots as it was founded by Rörstrand, Sweden, one of the oldest porcelain manufacturers in Europe.

The Security Service of Ukraine said in a tweet that it was able to effectively target Russian convoys near Kyiv because of messages sent to an official Telegram bot account called "STOP Russian War." Telegram boasts 500 million users, who share information individually and in groups in relative security. But Telegram's use as a one-way broadcast channel — which followers can join but not reply to — means content from inauthentic accounts can easily reach large, captive and eager audiences. Apparently upbeat developments in Russia's discussions with Ukraine helped at least temporarily send investors back into risk assets. Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko that there were "certain positive developments" occurring in the talks with Ukraine, according to a transcript of their meeting. Putin added that discussions were happening "almost on a daily basis." Telegram, which does little policing of its content, has also became a hub for Russian propaganda and misinformation. Many pro-Kremlin channels have become popular, alongside accounts of journalists and other independent observers. And while money initially moved into stocks in the morning, capital moved out of safe-haven assets. The price of the 10-year Treasury note fell Friday, sending its yield up to 2% from a March closing low of 1.73%.
