Вчера был подписан соответствующий указ Президента России.

С инициативой о присвоении воздушной гавани имени прославленного земляка, маршала Победы Александра Василевского выступили жители региона в год 130-летия со дня его рождения.

А.М. Василевский родился 18(30) июня 1895, село Новая Гольчиха, Кинешемский удел, Костромская губерния, ныне в составе г. Вичуга, Ивановская область.

Также, в год 80-летия Великой Победы Маршалу Александру Василевскому присвоено звание "Почётный гражданин Ивановской области".
