Back in May (scroll down) while in Saudi Arabia, Trump received a precession of salutes from foreign Military.

Earlier Today, while in South Korea, Trump prominently rendered a salute to the South Korean soldiers that greeted him.

South Korean President Lee Jae Myung, who is the Commander in Chief of the S. Korean Military did NOT render a salute to his Military, as IS a standard element of state and military protocol in South Korea. He puts his hand over his heart, which is not traditionally used in South Korea during troop inspections or formal military ceremonies.

One of my favorite verses.

Here we see Jesus addressing His disciples with both a warning and a promise. He acknowledges the tribulations of this world, yet assures them of His triumph over it. Jesus acknowledges the troubles we face, but also invites us to take heart because He has already overcome the world.

In that statement Jesus is telling us that no matter what troubles we face, we will overcome them through Him once we have accepted Jesus Christ in our hearts.

Imagine carrying a 300lb cross 3+ miles up a mountainside.

You’re beaten. You’re bruised. Your facial hair is ripped out from its’ follicles. Your intestines are exposed, and the splinters from the cross are digging into the open wounds on your back from the cat of nine tails the night before.

Yet. All you can think of is others. All you care about is freeing them from sin.

Now imagine that isn’t a myth, it is truth. Because guess what? It is, in fact, the truth.

And it is Jesus, and what He did for all of us. He went through all of that FOR US. Not Himself - US.

Imagine being that beaten down, and yet all He had on His mind was … us.

We fall woefully short of His grace but He still delivers it day after day after going through pain that we can’t even contemplate.

His love for us is total, it is never ending and never ceasing.

All you have to do is let Him into your heart.
