По предварительной информации, 13 октября примерно в 9 часов 20 минут на 2 километре автодороги: «Ессентукская-Юца-Этока», вблизи станицы Ессунтукская, водитель легкового автомобиля Лада Калина выбрал скорость, которая не обеспечивает постоянного контроля за движением автомобиля, не учел дорожные и метеорологические условия, не справился с управлением, допустил съезд транспортного средства за пределы проезжей части.
