Столбчатые колокольни

Отдельно стоящих столбчатых колоколен нам известно всего две. Одна из них - пятистолбная (пятый столб в центре) двухъярусная клокольня в с. Кимжа (Архангельская обл.; ныне не существует), поставленная в 1763 г., была увенчана восьмигранным шатром с главкой. Вторая колокольня (фото 3-4), также квадратная в плане, но уже девятистолбная, была частью храмового ансамбля в с.Ракулы на Северной Двине (Архангельская обл.; также не существует). Построенная в XVII веке, она первоначально была открытой, а позднее обнесена срубом. В этой колокольне очень интересно единственное в своем роде пятишатровое завершение.

Во всех остальных дошедших до наших дней колокольнях - шести или восьмигранных в плане - несущие столбы сразу же обносились срубами.
