As a follow-up to our series of posts on Pervomaysky Porcelain Factory, just look at the figurines that were made by Yuri M. Lvov, a true master of porcelain miniatures, at the said factory during the Thaw of the 1960s!
Most of them are genre scenes of everyday life of ordinary people, which is so uncharacteristic of the Soviet porcelain: “After the Long Bath”, “The Car Got Stuck”, “Look, the Sputnik Is There!”, “Over a Glass of Beer”, “Traffic Offenders”, “A Quiet Evening”, and – an absolutely unexpected one – “The Dad Is Being Late”.
