Позже в Роспотребнадзоре отметили, что эпидемиологическая обстановка по острым кишечным инфекциям в новых регионах России стабильная:
«На постоянной основе осуществляется систематический лабораторный контроль качества питьевой воды и воды поверхностных водоёмов по микробиологическим, вирусологическим и санитарно-химическим показателям».
