Как сообщили в Генпрокуратуре Азербайджана, расследование дела, фигурантом которого является Беджанов, велось в управлении полиции Хатаинского района. Ему предъявлены обвинения по статье 178.2.4 Уголовного кодекса (мошенничество с причинением значительного ущерба).
Беджанов был задержан на территории России, после чего Генпрокуратура Азербайджана направила запрос об экстрадиции, который был удовлетворен российской стороной. Обвиняемый был доставлен в Азербайджан в сопровождении специального конвоя Пенитенциарной службы Минюста.
