Ранее ГУР Украины взяли на себя ответственность за предполагаемый удар по аэродрому Оленья, расположенному в Мурманской области. Источники украинских СМИ в военной разведке утверждают, что 27 июля на этом аэродроме был поражен дальний стратегический бомбардировщик ТУ-22М3.
Самолёты, базирующиеся на аэродроме Оленья, регулярно участвуют в нанесении ударов по Украине.
