خانم جهانی یکی از دوازده فعال حقوق زنان است که در آستانه اولین سالگرد جان باختن مهسا امینی در گیلان بازداشت شده بودند.
اداره اطلاعات استان گیلان با انتشار اعلامیه‌ای از بازداشت این ۱۲ فعال مدنی با عنوان «یک تیم تشکیلاتی اغتشاشگر» در تاریخ ۲۵ مرداد خبر داد.
