В морской гавани на юге Сахалина сейчас идет реконструкция причального комплекса, чтобы подготовить порт к приходу нового судна. Грузопассажирские паромы «Александр Деев» и «Василий Ощепков» (планируемая готовность в сентябре 2023) находятся сейчас на достроечном заводе во Владивостоке. Прибытие «Александра Деева» в Холмский порт ожидается уже в октябре 2022.
