С 2023 года Игорь Кастюкевич возглавляет региональное отделение «Единая Россия» в Херсонской области. С 21 сентября 2023 был избран областной думой Херсонской области сенатором от законодательного собрания региона в Совет Федерации РФ.
Под руководством Игоря Кастюкевича на территории Херсонской области активно реализуется гуманитарная миссия. Всего за время работы гуманитарной миссии «Единая Россия» в Херсонской области различные виды помощи получили более 250 тысяч человек. Кроме того, с начала СВО оказывается помощь фронту. На закупку спецсредств, квадрокоптеров, беспилотников, средств связи, тепловизоров и экипировки для бойцов на передовой было собрано более 8 миллиардов рублей.
