Руководитель экологического проекта «Чистая Арктика» Андрей Нагибин предложил решать вопрос с вывозом мусора из труднодоступных мест в Арктике с помощью разработки системы поощрений для судовладельцев-участников северного завоза.
«Нужно сделать так, чтобы, когда туда что-то привозят, еще и вывозили. Для судовладельцев, которые занимаются северным завозом, необходимо придумать систему поощрения, чтобы они могли забирать с собой то, что накопилось. Мы насобирали очень много и не все можем вывезти. Обратный фрахт очень дорогой. Такая проблема есть, и она должна больше решаться на федеральном уровне», — рассказал Нагибин.
В Арктике с советских времен накопились большие запасы отходов, в том числе бочки из-под горючего. Из-за высокой стоимости грузоперевозок их ликвидация становится «золотой».
