Издательский дом МГИМО совместно с издательством «Аспект Пресс» выпустилпервый национальный атлас электоральной географии России. Автор-составитель — электоральный географ Сергей Елагин с десятилетиями практического опыта в этой сфере. Научным редактором выступил ведущий научный сотрудник, соруководитель программы ИМИ «Инструментальные методы международных исследований» Игорь Окунев @terra_politica.
Атлас электоральной географии Российской Федерации 1991–2024 гг. создан на основе официальных данных ГАС «Выборы» ЦИК РФ, интернет-ресурсов и материалов личного архива. Являясь своеобразной летописью и отчасти энциклопедией электоральной жизни современной России, в книге сделана попытка обобщения итогов всех федеральных выборных кампаний по субъектам РФ.
Атлас подводит итог работе группы политгеографов ИМИ МГИМО, посвящённой созданию методологии кросстемпоральных и межстрановых исследований в электоральной географии.
