«Мы должны срочно снова вооружить Европу. Все европейцы должны вложиться в оборону и обеспечить рывок в военной промышленности» – заявила она.
Урсула фон дер Ляйен также призвала страны ЕС поставить Украину «в положение силы» и превратить ее в «стального дикобраза».
Учитывая экономические проблемы основных стран Евросоюза и отсутствие какой-либо стратегии и единства в объединении, воплотить идеи фон дер Ляйен в жизнь Европе будет практически невозможно.
