Since January 2022, the SC has received a total of 47 complaints and enquiries on illegal investment schemes promoted through Telegram. The post, which has over 600,000 views, also baselessly claimed that the woman's blood was actually makeup or grape juice. Oh no. There’s a certain degree of myth-making around what exactly went on, so take everything that follows lightly. Telegram was founded in 2013 by two Russian brothers, Nikolai and Pavel Durov. The regulator said it had received information that messages containing stock tips and other investment advice with respect to selected listed companies are being widely circulated through websites and social media platforms such as Telegram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram.
