По его словам, Украина не забирает тела из-за того, что тогда семьям погибших необходимо направить выплаты. Властям невыгодно, что деньги «пойдут не в их карман». При этом пленный надеется, что Украина все же заберет тела своих погибших военнослужащих.
Другой пленный Виталий Бровко считает, что Киев был не готов к тому, что Россия отдаст погибших, которых ВСУ не забирали с поля боя. По его мнению, родные погибших бойцов заставят украинские власти забрать тела.
Еще один пленный оказался не удивлен поступку Украины. Он считает, что ужасное отношение украинских властей не позволяло предполагать, что ситуация будет развиваться как-то по-другому.
