В комментариях ко вчерашнему посту мы коснулись волнующей нас темы изучения прошлого для движения в будущее. Например, великий Ханс Вегнер хорошо понимал важность обращения к корням. Именно поэтому, учась в Копенгагенской школе искусств и ремесел (да и после окончания учебы), он тщательно изучал историю создания и устройство виндзорского стула. Смеем полагать, что такой пристальный взгляд в прошлое позволил Вегнеру оказаться в авангарде датского мебельного дела.

When responding to a comment under one of our yesterday’s posts, we touched upon a subject we are quite concerned with, namely the study of the past as a way to move forward. The great Hans Wegner understood the importance of reflecting on the past. This is why, when he was a student at Copenhagen School of Arts and Crafts as well as later in life, Wegner thoroughly studied the history and construction of e.g. the Windsor chair. We feel that it is his careful look into the past that put Wegner into the vanguard of the Danish furniture boom.
