В 2023 году исполнилось шесть столетий с того дня, как на Сахотском болоте был явлен Чудотворный Крест Господень. Как свидетельство исторической миссии России, фактор самостояния, залог будущего нашего Отечества.
Крест этот древней работы. Искусствоведы атрибутируют его создание XIl-XIlI веками. За прошедшее время он претерпел множество злоключений, времена поругания и забвения. Но милостью Божией произошло и "второе обретение"!
Распятие явившееся со стороны Византии, несёт в себе тайну духовной связи Ромейской империи и Руси. Как пишет православный философ и писатель Виктор Тростников: «явившийся за 30 лет до падения Византийского царства чудотворный Крест стал поворотным моментом в русской истории и вещественным знаком преемства передачи Православной ойкумены от Византии к Руси».И эта тайна. Которую нам надо ещё осознать.
