Следователями военного СУ СК предъявлено обвинение бывшему заместителю министра обороны Павлу Попову в совершении преступления, предусмотренного ч. 4 ст. 159 УК РФ — «Мошенничество в особо крупном размере». Следком сообщает, что обвиняемый вину в совершении преступления не признает. Ряд фигурантов сотрудничают со следствием и дают изобличающие показания.
Следствие установило, что Павел Попов, заместитель начальника Главного управления инновационного развития Минобороны Владимир Шестеров, директор парка «Патриот» Вячеслав Ахмедов действовали в составе группы и похитили бюджетные деньги в размере ₽30 млн. Деньги предназначались для работы парка и выставки.

You may recall that, back when Facebook started changing WhatsApp’s terms of service, a number of news outlets reported on, and even recommended, switching to Telegram. Pavel Durov even said that users should delete WhatsApp “unless you are cool with all of your photos and messages becoming public one day.” But Telegram can’t be described as a more-secure version of WhatsApp. Ukrainian forces have since put up a strong resistance to the Russian troops amid the war that has left hundreds of Ukrainian civilians, including children, dead, according to the United Nations. Ukrainian and international officials have accused Russia of targeting civilian populations with shelling and bombardments. Since January 2022, the SC has received a total of 47 complaints and enquiries on illegal investment schemes promoted through Telegram. These fraudulent schemes offer non-existent investment opportunities, promising very attractive and risk-free returns within a short span of time. They commonly offer unrealistic returns of as high as 1,000% within 24 hours or even within a few hours. "And that set off kind of a battle royale for control of the platform that Durov eventually lost," said Nathalie Maréchal of the Washington advocacy group Ranking Digital Rights. One thing that Telegram now offers to all users is the ability to “disappear” messages or set remote deletion deadlines. That enables users to have much more control over how long people can access what you’re sending them. Given that Russian law enforcement officials are reportedly (via Insider) stopping people in the street and demanding to read their text messages, this could be vital to protect individuals from reprisals.
