Во время переговоров в Финляндии украинский лидер обсудил со Стуббом вопросы оборонной поддержки Украины, инвестиции в ее промышленность, а также гарантии безопасности и перспективы «европейской и евроатлантической интеграции» Украины.
Ранее Стубб заявлял, что сейчас не время обсуждать вопрос отправки военнослужащих западных стран на Украину.
