Участник Советско-финской и Великой Отечественной войн.
В годы Великой Отечественной войны Александр Гаврилович служил старшим сержантом 1067 стрелкового полка 311 стрелковой дивизии.
За боевые заслуги Юдин А.Г. награжден медалями "За Отвагу", "За взятие Берлина", а также Орденом Красной Звезды.
После войны семья Юдиных отправилась на Сахалин в Углегорский район, где Александр Гаврилович работал на стройке в с. Бошняково. Позже семья переехала в гор. Шахтерск, где Юдин А.Г. также работал на стройке.
Александр Гаврилович ушел из жизни 3 января 1980 года. Похоронен в пгт. Шахтерск.
