🚨Polizei räumt besetztes Waldstück am Tagebau Hambach

Mit einem Großeinsatz hat die Polizei am Dienstag damit begonnen, das letzte von Aktivisten besetzte Waldstück am Braunkohle-Tagebau Hambach im Rheinischen Revier zu räumen. Spezialisten für Einsätze in großer Höhe holten mehrere Braunkohle-Gegner aus den Bäumen.

Doch die Aktivisten kündigten Widerstand an. „Wir werden bleiben, solange wir können“, schrieb die Initiative „Lützerath lebt“. Die Aktivisten halten sich seit mehr als einem Jahr in dem nur noch sehr kleinen Waldstück westlich von Köln auf und haben dort Baumhäuser gebaut.

Mit der Besetzung wollen sie die Abholzung des sogenannten Sündenwäldchens verhindern. Es kam bereits mehrfach zu Polizeieinsätzen.
