Максим Макаленко был соперником Хоценко на минувших выборах от партии ЛДПР. Из четырех кандидатов на губернаторское кресло Макаленко набрал меньше всех голосов — 4,68%. Напомним, Виталий Хоценко получил на выборах 76,33% голосов.
Теперь Максим Макаленко работает под началом министра цифрового развития Дениса Цуканова. Он прибыл в Омск летом этого года из Донецкой Народной Республики, где ранее работал замом Хоценко.
