Вместе с тем, ЕК в своих новых предложениях по ограничениям импорта энергоресурсов из РФ, придерживается иной позиции. И в ущерб странам ЕС предложила до 2027 года полностью отказаться от топлива из России. При этом, новые контракты по газу планируется ими к запрету уже к концу 2025-го.
