TON: An Ecosystem Without Depth or Liquidity

Today, I was once again reminded that TVL in TON is negligible, and this isn't just a pretty phrase or a graph from DeFiLlama. It's a real case in which I participated (as a victim) 😔

On STORM Trade, a trader from Binance simply drove the price of TON up while opening a long on STORM. Since the STORM price on TON is taken from CEX, it was easy for him to manipulate the rate. The result? He robbed liquidity providers, including me, of about $240K. Just like in a textbook - a market without depth where one player can overturn the entire movement.

Looking more broadly, TON today resembles an inflatable castle without a foundation. Take, for example, EVAA — a token with pretty promises. In reality, more than 90% of the tokens are in the hands of the team, the market maker can set any price, and short sellers are regularly wiped out, bringing the market maker millions of dollars in liquidations daily 🤴 I'm not saying it's bad, but the game is very dirty.

Even the top tokens don't save the situation. Tokens that were considered "hot" last year, MAJOR and DOGS, have hit rock bottom. ByBit is already delisting them from futures, liquidity is zero, interest has faded. Paradoxically, even KINGY, which started 3 years ago, has a higher TVL than they do. But they have parachute jumps, drones at TOKEN2049, and all that...

I decided to check if there are any projects in TON with a TVL of at least 30–70% of their capitalization. This is an important indicator — it shows how much the token is backed by real liquidity, not just speculation and fabricated rates. Here are the three healthiest tokens in the TON ecosystem by this criterion:
1. RAFF (Capitalization 756/ TVL 379)
2. GEMSTONE (Capitalization 561/ TVL 220)
3. KINGY (Capitalization 940/ TVL 272) 😕

TON today is an ecosystem without real liquidity. All metrics, from TVL to volumes, are sustained by internal transfers, speculation, and artificially created narratives, and tokens like MAJOR and DOGS are clear evidence of how quickly "top" tokens turn to dust when there's no liquid support beneath them.

Now live with this, and with tokens in wallets that aren't even worth the transaction fee.

🐸 Memlandia Reborn, and We're Set to Profit

November 7 is the day that could change everything. Or maybe not. Everyone anticipated the launch of Memlandia on the 31st, but instead, we got an announcement about a change in concept and name. It's reassuring that the project is being relaunched thoughtfully, though the timeline has been pushed back by a week 😕

November 7 isn't just about the new Memlandia. On this day, DeDust will update its boost system and the x1000 trading terminal — all to maximize opportunities for competition participants and token holders.

Both Dtrade and xRocket are gearing up for the competitions, as they are the heart of trading on Telegram. Meanwhile, swap.coffee and palette.finance offer features that allow participation even for those who can't keep track of everything manually.

During an AMA session, the leader of the DeFi direction at TON Foundation stated that the goal of the new competition is to attract new users to the blockchain and give everyone a chance to earn. ❤️ When Telegram sinks, TON follows

I have some doubts about Telegram's future.

Firstly, restrictions for Russian users are tightening monthly. Initially, it was video calls, now it's SMS for registration. Even if Telegram isn't fully blocked, using it will become uncomfortable, prompting users to seek alternatives.

Secondly, despite community pleas for Durov to stop issuing gifts, he continues and even raises prices, seemingly trying to maximize this revenue stream. Gifts aren't selling out as quickly as before, indicating market saturation.

Thirdly, Telegram is pushing a 2-year premium subscription with a 58% discount. But who will need it if the platform becomes unusable? Many are buying subscriptions for family and friends due to discounts, while Telegram simply collects extra funds.

Fourthly, if Elon Musk manages to lure crypto enthusiasts back to Twitter from Telegram, it could be the end for Telegram, making Twitter the primary hub for crypto discussions.

On this somber note, let's consider TON. Without Telegram, it has no purpose. If TON's only use is within Telegram, losing this connection would render the blockchain dead. Its current state is already questionable.

We'll see how things unfold, but expectations aren't high. And that's not even mentioning Durov's cringe-worthy antics.

Interestingly, only 14 people, including myself, participated in the x402 auction. It's disappointing. Initially, it was challenging to figure out the API and payment. But within a few hours, someone coded a payment page in the comments, and later I integrated it directly into the auction interface.

Now, with just one day left, the chances of raising 10K TON are slim. That's just how TON is.

I'll try launching the project on another blockchain and will update on the results. As for TON, we're waiting for the Republic of Memes... But with TON's current rate, it seems like a utopia. 🐷 When there's silence in TON, even Gost screams louder than anyone else.

Over the three years of running my channel, I've developed the habit of writing posts daily—no matter which channel. It's wonderful, and I believe the hardest part of managing a channel is developing this habit.

Right now, in TON, aside from "pig-like behavior," nothing is happening at all. And I don't feel like writing the same as everyone else 💻

What's happening in TON:
- Listening to Gost's voice messages (he posts them every minute while sipping a Corona in Dubai) and hating on Durov and Roksman for gifts and monopoly.
- Hating on Portals – either for being down for a couple of days or for being up 😊 Think I'm joking? No. TON dropped significantly during those days, and as soon as the market was back, gifts were snapped up for next to nothing since prices were set in TON (which then dropped again).
- Discussing swap.coffee "rough patch." They created a DEX aggregator to earn commissions from the DEXs themselves, but those were disabled. Then they made the Thermos service for gifts, and now markets suddenly have 0% commission 😕

What I'm doing in TON:
- Playing a bit on STORM Trade, opening longs on ASTER based on CZ's tweets. 3 out of 3 successful 😤
- Trying to push the x402 narrative on TON, but it turned out nobody cares. Seems like it will be like ARBUZ—first TF says "we don't need memecoins," and a year later launches "memland" that nobody needs. I feel x402 will end up the same.
- Continuing to improve KINGY FARM — the only thing that truly brings joy and satisfaction 🍺 It helps the KINGY price and maintains community loyalty.

That's about it. Nothing else is happening in TON. This summary is just a cry from the heart to write something.

💧 TON Foundation stirs the waters again, and KINGY dives in first

Less than 24 hours until the launch of the meme republic by TON Foundation. KINGY is the classic favorite. But I'm not too fond of all this secrecy from the foundation.

How can you start playing a game if you don't know the rules? 🤔 Here's what we know:
- Both new and old projects are involved;
- 10 weeks of competition;
- $1 million at stake;
- $500,000 for random direct purchases throughout the week;
- $500,000 for liquidity;
- On-chain dashboard.
- They will assess trading volume, TVL, holders, and price.

That's it. 😐 But there are many questions:
- What metrics will be on the dashboard? How can a 3-year-old project compete with one created tomorrow at launch? The formulas need to be clear and open to strategize.
- How will direct purchases happen after a win, and what's the point? Imagine: KINGY wins, the price rises, and everyone starts selling—there's nothing left to catch. They'll sell precisely during TON Foundation's purchases to exit with maximum profit and move to another token.
- How will they even put $500K into liquidity? You need not only TON but also tokens. Or will the $500K first go to purchases and then to liquidity? That would make it easier for people to sell.

In short, it's very interesting but not clear at all. I think the first week will be fun and lead to a wave of negativity towards TON Foundation 🔨 But at least this time, they prepared in advance—discussed all the details with influencers and participants of the open league and the first Memeland.

I'll participate, but I don't know which token yet; maybe it will be easier to win with ARBUZ, PUPUPU, or even create a new one. To avoid spamming the channel, coordination will happen in @kingygm. 🤴 A Blockchain Where Every Day is Like a TV Show

Just a few days have passed since the last post about news on TON, and now a whole batch of new updates has arrived. It's hard to rank them by importance because each is interesting in its own way.

The week kicked off with a spat among the founders of EVAA, a top landing project on TON blockchain. Zhenya, who started the startup with the team, hasn't been involved with EVAA for the past year, but he was promised fair financial compensation as the project grew, since he was one of the original founders. However, as we know, money changes people, and he was offered only a quarter of what was initially agreed upon. Incidentally, he owned the EVAA channel, and as far as I know, the first company was legally registered under his name. They later changed jurisdiction to attract investments. As a result of the conflict, he refused to hand over the channel, forcing EVAA to create a new one. No agreement was reached, and it seems the matter will end up in court. 😐

Next, after Pavel Durov's speech at Blockchain Life, a token named Cocoon appeared on TON and quickly became a meme. It gained popularity on Twitter, but STON.fi didn't appreciate the naming approach and blacklisted the token. Now, all of Twitter is buzzing that STON is not a DEX but a centralized solution that makes decisions for people. On one hand, the decision is correct—naming rights should be respected. On the other, it's foolish as it damages their reputation. The community now demands that STON apologize and remove the token from the blacklist. But it seems futile, as STON is in the right. I wouldn't like it either if someone created a token with my project's name (though there have been plenty, and none were successful).

The week ended with the sad news about Roman Novak and the death of him and his wife. I can't believe what's happening and still hope they are alive somewhere in Africa 🇿🇦 Killing in the UAE is like suicide, and the media works too fast these days without fact-checking. Pozdnyakov was also recently reported dead, and yet he's alive.

Tell me, is there any other blockchain where such news happens? I think there's only one—TON ❤️

While everyone enjoys the Meme Republic and liquidity providers earn from volumes, let's not forget about the important stuff — Whale 🤪

If you bought the crocodile NFT collection on Solana with me for $100–150, you can now sell it for at least $260. The call was quite successful — in fact, 3 out of 3 calls in the past month have been positive 💰 Something to think about.

😱 TON Unlocks: A Scary Tale for Newbies

It's amusing how everyone fears the unlocking of 1 billion TON, yet few have actually studied who invested and how much. It's good to be a TON veteran who has seen it all from the inside and remembers how it was 😕

This post was prepared in collaboration with @gosunov_ch.

To dispel the myth that TON's price will crash in three days, just look at how many wallets actually invested in the fund.

People aren't foolish—no one invested without reason. Those who did were close to TON Foundation and understood that the blockchain wouldn't die, and the price would be about the same in two years. And that's exactly what happened.

A total of 216 wallets invested 🙏 Out of these, 137 people invested more than 100 TON, and 93 people invested more than 1000 TON. The median deposit was just 500 TON, meaning most were small investors (see screenshot above).

It's important to understand that 36% of all wallets were ordinary folks who invested between 51 and 100 TON 😁

Considering that only 2.7% of the invested amount is being unlocked now, it's just peanuts. People will receive their earned TON, but it won't affect the price.

79 wallets belong to the first miners. They simply laundered themselves a 7% annual return from TON Foundation, whereas staking would have been 2–3%.

Imagine a hypothetical Manuel Stotz, who is now earning 4% annually on TON Strategy. Two years ago, he invested TON in the fund and added TON as a reward, and now he'll withdraw even more TON—already "laundered" through the fund and with a bonus from TON Foundation. Will he sell? Yes, but not as foolishly as you think, and certainly not in bulk (because there isn't any).

So, there's no need to worry—everything is fine, was fine, and will be fine. 😢 The fund was created for marketing—to try to break the stereotype that 98% of all TON is in one hand. Almost succeeded. Let's see what happens next.

I've tweaked the KINGY farm a bit to make it easier for newcomers to catch up with the leaders and for the token to feel more comfortable on the leaderboard of the ongoing Meme Republic. Reminder: the prize pool is $3250.

Judging by the mood on Twitter and Telegram channels, nobody likes the Meme Republic—not the founders, nor the regular users 🐱

Currently, the most movement is created by Lambo and Maximus. The former seems to have given up, while the latter is making wild promises that will never be fulfilled. I could promise to give away a million dollars if you help me win, but would I actually do it? Probably not, and neither will he. Friday will be interesting to see the results 🤴

Overall, there's no competitive spirit. UTYA, DOGS, and REDO have been at the top from the start and remain there without doing anything. But if you look at the banners and illustrations of the Meme Republic, these three tokens have been featured from the beginning, even before the start was announced.

It feels like this event was launched to help them get listed on exchanges and CoinMarketCap, but then what? DOGS is already being delisted for inactivity, and I don't even want to talk about the MAJOR and NOT rates with Durov's support.

In short, there's no meme fun or competitive spirit 🚽 Even promoting Rouzii on Playmuse is more interesting.

🌐 Traveling, yet TON remains in a coma

While traveling, it's tough to write much. TON chats evoke fewer emotions than my real-life experiences (which I share in stories @kingyru). Still, I read around 2K messages daily to stay updated.

Recent highlights:
• UTYA won the first week of the meme republic by doing nothing, sparking outrage on Twitter. TON Foundation disliked this and changed the formula, which they haven't disclosed to the community. UTYA's price plummeted, and now "some guy" is in first place and holding strong. 🤵

• The DeDust team launched a new memepad, Uranus. It seems like poor timing, but they also added new pools on DEX. 🤵‍♂️ As usual, 300 blockchain users overwhelmed the system, causing negativity in the first hours. Things seem more stable now. DeDust now has everything for the concept: create — trade — survive. However, on TON, only the last remains.

• swap.coffee launched the trading bot Swapi with snipes and limits. Also questionable timing, but competition seems relentless. Dtrade is feeling the pressure.

• A new airdrop from Whale will be 10 times larger than the previous one. Judging by the NFT crocodile page, about $50K has already accumulated for the airdrop, meaning each NFT will receive around $90–110. Last time it was $80. I advised getting them for $100, but you didn't. 📖 Let's see what happens next, but I'm quite pleased.

• TON Foundation opened a hub in the USA and immediately announced a listing on Coinbase. 🦋 The TON token, as usual, didn't react because there are no buyers in the USA or CIS. Plus, CloudFlare went down right before the listing, so no one saw anything.

That's the news. I haven't even mentioned that TON's price dropped 67% over the year. ⚰️
