Уборка камыша на озере проводится в режиме субботника силами округов, а также АО «Якутдорстрой» и МУП «Жилкомсервис». В работе задействованы три погрузчика, гусеничный трактор и 7 самосвалов. Всемирный день водных ресурсов (Всемирный день воды) отмечается ежегодно 22 марта с целью обратить внимание общественности на проблемы, связанные с охраной водных запасов. В России этот день стали отмечать с 1995 года под девизом «Вода – это жизнь».
