Ровно 65 назад был поднят флаг на первом в мире надводном судне с ядерной силовой установкой – атомном ледоколе «Ленин».

При строительстве позаботились о будущем экипаже, обеспечив ему комфортное пребывание в длительном плавании. Столовые, кинозал, библиотека, клуб, медицинские кабинеты и мастерские – всё было построено с учётом самых современных на то время требований.

За 30 лет работы «Ленин» прошел 655 тысяч морских миль и провёл через льды 3740 судов. Выведен из эксплуатации в 1989 году.
