Байкало-Амурская магистраль отмечает свой полувековой юбилей. 8 июля 1974 года постановлением правительства был дан старт прокладке БАМа, и началась грандиозная история всесоюзной комсомольской стройки.

БАМ открыл доступ к десяткам крупных месторождений полезных ископаемых, помог освоить новые территории, став надежным связующим звеном транспортного сообщения с регионами Дальнего Востока и странами Азии. Сейчас, с учетом разворота на Восток, БАМ продолжает выполнять важнейшую стратегическую и экономическую задачу для развития страны. И в основе этого - самый настоящий трудовой подвиг строителей БАМа.

Магистраль – это национальное достояние, предмет гордости нашего народа, и, конечно же, особый символ для нашей родной Амурской области.
