מליאת הכנסת אישרה בקריאה ראשונה הלילה (בין רביעי לחמישי) את הצעת חוק בדבר הארכת הוראת השעה המסמיכה את צבא הגנה לישראל ושירות הביטחון הכללי לביצוע חדירה לחומר מחשב המשמש להפעלת מצלמה נייחת ופעולה בו.
הוצע להאריך את תוקפה של הוראת השעה עד ליום ד' בתמוז התשפ"ה, 30 ביוני 2025. 41 חברי כנסת תמכו בהצעה, אל מול 9 שהתנגדו, והיא תועבר לדיון בוועדת החוץ והביטחון.
בדברי ההסבר להצעה נכתב כך: "כעת, בשים לב להימשכות הלחימה, הערכת גורמי המקצוע היא שקיים בעת הזו צורך ביטחוני בהמשך מתן הסמכויות הנתונות בחוק לצה"ל ולשב"כ, ולשם כך נדרש להאריך פעם נוספת את תוקפו של החוק ומוצע להאריכו בשישה חודשים". (ערוץ 14)

Apparently upbeat developments in Russia's discussions with Ukraine helped at least temporarily send investors back into risk assets. Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko that there were "certain positive developments" occurring in the talks with Ukraine, according to a transcript of their meeting. Putin added that discussions were happening "almost on a daily basis." In 2018, Russia banned Telegram although it reversed the prohibition two years later. Since its launch in 2013, Telegram has grown from a simple messaging app to a broadcast network. Its user base isn’t as vast as WhatsApp’s, and its broadcast platform is a fraction the size of Twitter, but it’s nonetheless showing its use. While Telegram has been embroiled in controversy for much of its life, it has become a vital source of communication during the invasion of Ukraine.
