Дуров: Telegram за свою историю не раскрыл ни байта личных переписок
21 апреля. /ТАСС/. Сооснователь Telegram Павел Дуров заявил, что мессенджер за 12 лет своей истории не раскрыл ни единого байта приватных переписок.
"За свою 12-летнюю историю Telegram ни разу не раскрыл ни единого байта личных сообщений", - написал Дуров.
Он напомнил, что мессенджер раскрывает только IP-адреса и номера телефонов предполагаемых преступников при наличии судебного ордера. Это делается в соответствии с европейским законом о цифровых услугах.

What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels have become popular with on-the-ground journalists, aid workers and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who broadcasts on a Telegram channel. The channels can be followed by an unlimited number of people. Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm. But the Ukraine Crisis Media Center's Tsekhanovska points out that communications are often down in zones most affected by the war, making this sort of cross-referencing a luxury many cannot afford. He said that since his platform does not have the capacity to check all channels, it may restrict some in Russia and Ukraine "for the duration of the conflict," but then reversed course hours later after many users complained that Telegram was an important source of information. "He has to start being more proactive and to find a real solution to this situation, not stay in standby without interfering. It's a very irresponsible position from the owner of Telegram," she said. "The result is on this photo: fiery 'greetings' to the invaders," the Security Service of Ukraine wrote alongside a photo showing several military vehicles among plumes of black smoke.
