Но невольно, от затаянной ненависти и пережитого страха, от понимания того, что "так жить нельзя" (не всем, а именно им - советской номенклатуре), нельзя все время трястись и жить в ожидании воронка и расстрела, он сумел смягчить эту систему и ослабить ее, предопределив во многом будущее течение событий. Так иногда бывает.
