Правительство Канады выступило против публикации имен осевших в стране нацистских преступников из-за опасений, что это может навредить Украине в текущем конфликте с Россией, об этом сообщила газета The Globe and Mail.
По ее данным, федеральные министерства порекомендовали не публиковать имена 900 предполагаемых нацистских военных преступников, опасаясь, что это может "усилить российскую пропаганду и навредить Украине, а также создать угрозу безопасности выживших ветеранов СС, которые обосновались в Канаде после Второй мировой войны".
Отмечается, что, в частности, против публикации имен нацистов выступили МИД и Минюст Канады.
