ДОБАВЛЮ, что на этой книге он написал дарственную надпись своему некогда партийному вождю Виктору Чернову "на добрую память". И совестливый народолюбец Чернов НЕ ПОРВАЛ с ним отношения. Январь 1945. Зензинову в этот момент было уже 64 года, а Чернову 71. И жили после этого они ещё активно и долго. Владимир Набоков в переписке тогда же назвал эту книгу лучшей русской книгой современности.
