В этот день командующий группой армий «Южная Украина» генерал Шёрнер направил в ставку Гитлера телеграмму с просьбой разрешить эвакуацию немецких войск. Главный аргумент, который был изложен в этой телеграмме, - дальнейшая оборона Севастополя стала невозможной.

Собственно, так и было. После блестящего и успешного штурма советскими войсками Сапун-горы всем было понятно – Севастополь наш!
