خیلی‌ها فکر می‌کنند که خوشبختی در داشتن خانه‌های بزرگ و مجلل، لباس‌های فاخر و گران‌قیمت و زندگی پرزرق‌وبرق است. اما هرچه بیشتر می‌خرند و می‌اندوزند، آرامش‌شان کمتر می‌شود و خلأ عمیق‌تری در درون احساس می‌کنند. شادی واقعی، در اسراف‌های بی‌جا و تجملات ریاکارانه به دست نمی‌آید؛ بلکه باید آن را در لبخند کودکی یتیم، در نگاه آرام پیرمردی که دستان خسته‌اش را گرفته‌ایم و در امیدی که بر چهرۀ بیمار ناامیدی شکوفا کرده‌ایم، جست‌وجو کنیم. آنانی که همواره در پی تازه‌ترین جلوه‌های دنیا هستند، شاید لحظه‌ای دل‌خوش باشند؛ اما دل‌شان هیچ‌وقت آرام نمی‌شود. در مقابل، کسی که دست ضعیفان و بینوایان را می‌گیرد و به دیگران کمک می‌کند، نه‌تنها دل‌های آن‌ها، بلکه قلب خودش را نیز سرشار از شادی و آرامش می‌کند. خوشبختی واقعی در داشتن نیست؛ بلکه در بخشیدن است!

The picture was mixed overseas. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index fell 1.6%, under pressure from U.S. regulatory scrutiny on New York-listed Chinese companies. Stocks were more buoyant in Europe, where Frankfurt’s DAX surged 1.4%. These entities are reportedly operating nine Telegram channels with more than five million subscribers to whom they were making recommendations on selected listed scrips. Such recommendations induced the investors to deal in the said scrips, thereby creating artificial volume and price rise. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 230 points, or 0.7%. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 1.3% and 2.2%, respectively. All three indexes began the day with gains before selling off. The company maintains that it cannot act against individual or group chats, which are “private amongst their participants,” but it will respond to requests in relation to sticker sets, channels and bots which are publicly available. During the invasion of Ukraine, Pavel Durov has wrestled with this issue a lot more prominently than he has before. Channels like Donbass Insider and Bellum Acta, as reported by Foreign Policy, started pumping out pro-Russian propaganda as the invasion began. So much so that the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council issued a statement labeling which accounts are Russian-backed. Ukrainian officials, in potential violation of the Geneva Convention, have shared imagery of dead and captured Russian soldiers on the platform. Right now the digital security needs of Russians and Ukrainians are very different, and they lead to very different caveats about how to mitigate the risks associated with using Telegram. For Ukrainians in Ukraine, whose physical safety is at risk because they are in a war zone, digital security is probably not their highest priority. They may value access to news and communication with their loved ones over making sure that all of their communications are encrypted in such a manner that they are indecipherable to Telegram, its employees, or governments with court orders.
