В 2021 году Тотемскому музейному объединению предложили выкупить обветшавший, но сохранивший интерьеры начала 20 века теремок недалеко от Входо-Иерусалимской церкви.

Миллион рублей на покупку дома дал меценат, пожелавший остаться неизвестным. Потом подоспели гранты, стали приезжать волонтеры. Здание реставрировали всем миром.

Сейчас здесь расположен «Дом мецената» — внутри офис местного фонда «Соль Земли», экспозиция, посвященная купцу и промышленнику Николаю Токареву (это его дом), арт-пространство.
