*السؤال/ فضيلة الشيخ: رجل استشهد مع زوجته وجميع أبناءه الذكور، وله أم وابنتان وحفيدان من أحد أبنائه الشهداء، والأم تم الحديث معها بشأن الميراث فقالت إنها تتنازل عن حقها في الميراث لباقي الورثة أو لحفيدي ولدها الشهيد بهبتها نصيبها؛ حيث أنها كبيرة في السن، وتخشى أن تتوفى ويتوزع نصيبها على ورثتها من الأبناء والبنات، وذلك بكامل رغبتها وإرادتها؛ فهل يجوز ذلك شرعاً، أم أن في ذلك إثم؟*

I want a secure messaging app, should I use Telegram? The fake Zelenskiy account reached 20,000 followers on Telegram before it was shut down, a remedial action that experts say is all too rare. The War on Fakes channel has repeatedly attempted to push conspiracies that footage from Ukraine is somehow being falsified. One post on the channel from February 24 claimed without evidence that a widely viewed photo of a Ukrainian woman injured in an airstrike in the city of Chuhuiv was doctored and that the woman was seen in a different photo days later without injuries. The post, which has over 600,000 views, also baselessly claimed that the woman's blood was actually makeup or grape juice. At its heart, Telegram is little more than a messaging app like WhatsApp or Signal. But it also offers open channels that enable a single user, or a group of users, to communicate with large numbers in a method similar to a Twitter account. This has proven to be both a blessing and a curse for Telegram and its users, since these channels can be used for both good and ill. Right now, as Wired reports, the app is a key way for Ukrainians to receive updates from the government during the invasion. If you initiate a Secret Chat, however, then these communications are end-to-end encrypted and are tied to the device you are using. That means it’s less convenient to access them across multiple platforms, but you are at far less risk of snooping. Back in the day, Secret Chats received some praise from the EFF, but the fact that its standard system isn’t as secure earned it some criticism. If you’re looking for something that is considered more reliable by privacy advocates, then Signal is the EFF’s preferred platform, although that too is not without some caveats.
