في يوم عاشوراء: لقد حكم فرعونُ بني إسرائيل فتجبّر وطغى حتى نادى في قومه قائلاً {يَٰقَوْمِ أَلَيْسَ لِى مُلْكُ مِصْرَ وَهَٰذِهِ ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِىٓ ۖ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ}، وذهب أبعد من ذلك فادعى الربوبية {أَنَا رَبُّكُمُ الأعْلَى}، وتوعّد موسى ومن آمن معه {لأُقَطِّعَنَّ أيَدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ مِن خِلَاف ثُمَّ لأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ}، وظنّ ألن يقدر عليه أحد. فلما حانت ساعة القصاص الإلهي للمظلومين المقهورين من الطاغية الظالم وجنده؛ لم تغنِ عنهم قوتهم من الله شيئاً، فأهلك الله سبحانه وتعالى فرعون المتجبر وهو في قمة قوته، ونصر موسى وهو في أضعف حال.
ليكون يوم عاشوراء سلوى لكل مظلوم، وتذكرة لكل ظالم.
