Ранее газета "Известия" сообщила, что в феврале 2024 года региональное управление Роспотребнадзора выдало предостережения трем крупным участникам рынка, продукция которых продавалась в торговых сетях Spar и "Светофор". Как следует из документов, с которыми ознакомилась газета, у компании "Май" были обнаружены пестициды в зеленом листовом чае Richard. Роспотребнадзор поручил производителям чая разработать программу по предотвращению вреда от пестицидов в их продукции, сообщило издание.
