По оперативным данным, утром 31 мая действуют 17 лесных пожаров в Баргузинском, Баунтовском, Еравнинском, Заиграевском, Кижингинском и Селенгинском районах. Общая площадь возгораний составляет 90 435 га. Угрозы населённым пунктам нет, сообщили в РАЛХ.
Причиной трёх пожаров стала сухая гроза, один пожар пришёл из Забайкальского края, ещё три начались из-за горения торфа, остальные — из-за неосторожного обращения с огнём.
При этом на сегодняшний день ликвидировано 13 очагов в Баунтовском районена площади 30 858 га. В тушении участвуют 660 человек, задействовано 139 единиц техники.
